We spend a lot of time engaged with toolmakers and thermoformers on the finer points of plug assist thermoforming. Whether at trade shows in Germany, Indonesia, China or at educational seminars in colleges and ANTEC conferences, we find that the best conversations happen when we can really dig into the daily challenges facing machinists and processors. Still, it is not easy to be in 4 places at once, so we are creating a new series of recorded presentations to share best practices for syntactic foam in thermoforming.
Starting in early January, we will share several training modules that we have developed. Starting with the basics of syntactic foam and plug assist material, we will walk thermoformers through key concepts including material selection, material properties and machining guidelines. We’ll cover some theoretical concepts as well as practical considerations. We’ll use as many real-life examples as we can to ensure that thermoformers around the world can understand what is relevant to their own business.
In the meantime, if there is anything particular that you want to see from us, give us a call or send us an email.
